Terms of use
dontflake.lol is a free tool for agreeing on a date with a group. These are the plain-language terms for using it.
What the service is
dontflake.lol helps a group collect availability, lock a date, pick someone to organize, and generate a suggested plan. It is a coordination tool and nothing more. It does not make reservations, sell travel, take payments, or act as an agent for any venue, host, or provider. Anything the plan suggests, you arrange and pay for yourself, elsewhere.
Using it
- It's free, and no account is required.
- Don't use it for anything unlawful, don't upload other people's personal information, and don't put anything sensitive in the free-text fields.
- Don't attempt to disrupt the service — automated scraping, guessing invite codes at scale, overloading it, or interfering with other people's plans.
- Anyone with a plan's four-letter code and link can view that plan and join it if a spot is open. Share codes with your group, not publicly. You're responsible for who you give a code to.
- You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live; the tool is intended for adults arranging plans.
Content you enter
You keep whatever rights you have in the names, dates, and preferences you enter. You give us permission to store and process that content for the purpose of running the plan — showing it to the other participants in your group and generating the plan text. How that data is handled is set out in the privacy notice.
Generated plans
Plan suggestions — places to stay, things to do, restaurants, rough budgets and timings — are generated automatically from your group's answers. They may be inaccurate, out of date, unavailable, or unsuitable, and prices and opening times change constantly. Treat them as a starting point and check the important details yourself before booking or travelling. We don't endorse any venue or business that appears in a plan, and we're not paid to include any of them.
Availability, and no warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. It's a free side project: it may be unavailable, may change, and may lose data. Please don't treat it as the only record of anything that matters — once a date is locked, put it in your real calendar, which is what the calendar button is for.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including missed plans, cancelled bookings, travel costs, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Advertising
The guide pages carry third-party advertising, which pays for hosting. The planning flow does not. We don't control which specific ads appear and their presence isn't an endorsement.
Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time; clearing your browser's site data removes the name stored locally. We may remove plans or restrict access where content is unlawful, abusive, or is being used to disrupt the service. To have a plan deleted, email us with its four-letter code.
Changes
These terms may change as the tool changes; the date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
